Laura Bridgeman turned her college climate and environmental activism into a decade-long career, founding a nonprofit which she discovered involves a lot of cat-herding (but she loves cats). She led research trips around the world, made friends with wild dolphins, collaborated with celebrated thinkers, and spoke at renowned institutions including the United Nations in Geneva.
She then became obsessed with utopian-like cultures that existed at the dawn of Western civilization because she is staunchly hedonistic. Her independent study was published in a groundbreaking Routledge anthology that won an Environmental Communications Association award. The experience launched her writing career, landing her at a journalism startup where she wrote for outlets like Vox and mentored emerging journalistic talent.
After an invigorating touch of midlife crisis, she pivoted towards the for-profit sector, working with mission-driven companies aimed at greening industries and promoting alternative therapies where she expanded her knowledge base into SEO and other content marketing strategies.
Laura is a published novelist (using an extremely secret pen name) and her happy place is the British Library. She is committed to chasing her dreams even though she's lived so many already.
